De Rivierenbuurt (river quarter) is a neighborhood in Amsterdam-south built
in 1935 under supervision of the famous architect H.P. Berlage (1865 – 1934).
The luxury and charming ground floor apartment has original features and is an
ideal start to discover Amsterdam. After visiting the turbulent city centre of
Amsterdam, after visiting the museum and after shopping you can rest and
recover in a quiet and safe place where you can hear the birds sing.
The apartment has one bedroom and
a living room which can be used as a second bedroom only for
your travel friends or children, a luxury bathroom (sink, shower,
bath, toilet), a modern kitchen, a conservatory and a beautiful romantic garden
with a pond. The apartment has cable TV and internet access.
The guests may relax in the conservatory and garden.

Breakfast can
easily be bought in Albert Heijn Supermarket around the corner (open 8.00 am
till 10.00 pm), is self serviced and can be prepared in the modern kitchen.
Coffee and thea is available in the apartment.
Just
around the corner in Rijnstraat you will find a supermarket and all other shops
for your daily needs. To visit the museums and city center you take Tram
4 which will bring you there within 15 minutes.
If
you dare to bike you can rent a bike. That will make you more flexible
and will bring you more fun. With your bike you can also take a tour along the
river Amstel and have a look at the beautiful mansions built by 17th century
Amsterdam tradesman.
How to get there:
Arriving
from Schiphol Airport you take the train to RAI Station (Euro 2,50; second stop, about 10 minutes) and
from there a cab (+/- Euro 7,-; 5
minutes), or Tram 4
to Victoriaplein (Euro 2,70; 7 minutes),
from there it is a 5 minutes’ walk to Vechtstraat.
